Post Cruise Notes — Part 1

Where do I start, this trip was amazing. Phil and I both had an amazing time.

We are working on organizing photos and video so we can show you visually how the trip was.

We flew Jet Star because of some issues with the car. It was an OK flight, but they are really serious on the weight restrictions. You had to pay for everything on board. Not a fan of that, looking at flying Virgin next time we cruise. They are tied to Carnival, on disembarking we could of checked our bags before heading to the airport. Looking at going Business Class with them, they are roughly $200.00 dollars cheaper than Qantas.

Let’s talk about Packing Cubes. I have to thank Sheri over at Cruise Tips TV for the idea. It was a huge help in organizing packing this time. Made for a neater suitcase. We are needing to purchase new suitcases  and will be getting more packing cubes. Here is the set I got at Strand bags,  https://www.strandbags.com.au/luggage/flylite-3pc-packing-cubes/3169910#

Faster to the Fun: It was so worth it for us. This trip it was $50.00 for a 3 day trip. It is per room, with Phil having some health challenges we decided to go this way. It got us on the ship faster, in our room quicker which was great. We got dropped off at the terminal around 11:30, dropped off our 1 piece of luggage to check and then off to check in. We showed the lady checking our passes, she walked us over to one lane and told us to enjoy our trip. Once inside we got our pics taken for security, she checked all our info, got the flag for the Nebulizer taken off that Phil had with us. (we emailed ahead that we were bringing it with us, they replied with instructions) I had registered our debit card, we were off. Taking the elevator up, I ask Phil, ” We need a room key to get in, hows this going to work?” By the time we got through security, on the ship and found our room, our keys were waiting for us at our room. It was great to drop off our luggage, find the lanyards we brought with us, then off to the Lido deck for lunch.
